Good Morning Pirate and Welcome to “Celebrate Us” Friday. Today we want to simply all the great memories and great times that we have had as Chilton Pirates. Today we choose to look beyond what we have lost and focus on the great memories and relationships that we have developed as Chilton Pirates. Contact at 5 members of your Chilton Pirate family via social media, text, or phone call to let them know how they have enriched your life. Today, we have some great things planned: Please tune in to our website for our Friday Motivational Moment at 12:00 p.m. given by Mrs. Candice Ross, Elementary Principal. In addition, please review our website for additional activities posted for our students. Today we ask parents and students to review previous assignments and ensure that all assignments from previous weeks are completed. Please be on the look out for additional information from the elementary and secondary campus principals regarding assignment and packet pick-ups. While we have enjoyed our Spirit Week, it is time to ensure that our students maintain the academic skills that they need to ensure future success. Today at 2:45 p.m. our Pirate Parade will travel through Marlin to try and see our Chilton ISD family in Marlin. If you need information regarding the routes to be taken through Marlin, please visit the Chilton ISD Facebook page for route information. We look forward to seeing each of you and finishing our Spirit Week strong.

A Message from Mr. Hubbard: Good Evening Pirate Nation. I am convinced that I work in the greatest school district in the world with the greatest staff, students, and parents in the world. Thanks to each of you that have participated in the first day of our Virtual Spirit Week. A special thank you to all the walkers and sponsors that made the Walk for Chilton Community Event a success. Thanks to the walkers in Chilton and throughout the community. The highlight of my day has been watching and posting the many TikTok videos that have been sent to me. I have decided to give several awards for the TikTok challenge because so many people participated: The Funniest TikTok Award goes to Mrs. Kimberly Oliver in her Hide and Seek TikTok video. The Most Creative Award goes to Coach Darvis Brandon for his Agricultural Integration. The Most Relevant TikTok Award goes to Evan Maxey in his portrayal of the runaway student. The Most Team Spirit Team Award goes to the Volleyball Squad. The Most School Spirit Award goes to our Throwback Pep Squad of Mrs. Coach Black, Mrs. Lahoma Taylor, and Mrs. Jennifer Sharp. The purpose of TikTok Tuesday Spirit Day was to reassure everyone that we can still smile through tough times. I hope everyone enjoyed creating and watching the videos. Wednesday, April 15, 2020 is Drop Everything And Read or DEAR Wednesday. We encourage everyone to take a few minutes and spend time reading a book that is inspirational to you. As always, I will try and keep our social media current with images. Tomorrow our Community Zoom will begin at 10:00 a.m. We will hold a virtual scavenger hunt that you will not want to miss. Our Motivational Moment will be given by Mrs. Jennifer Sharp, Secondary Principal at 11:00 p.m. We will continue with our Elementary and Secondary activities to encourage engagement. Finally, we will post a reflection activity for all Chilton ISD stakeholders to engage. Our Mindset Focus will be the 100% Accountable Mindset. I look forward to seeing each of you tomorrow on the Community Zoom meeting. Brandon K. Hubbard, Superintendent of Schools
