Thought: Adrianna Kenebrew is legally blind, but you wouldn't know it if you watched her compete in her favorite sport, gymnastics. In the video below, you will see her overcome many obstacles to pursue her passion. It may seem as though your passion has been “put on hold” during the current crisis. However, it is important to look for ways to pursue your passions and explore your interests.
Take a stand, embrace creativity, and continue to do the things you love.
Quote of the Day: "Find something you are passionate about and keep tremendously interested in it."

Good Morning Pirate Nation. This week we are back to implementing our remote learning plans for the remainder of the 2019-2020 school year. Please remember that even though the buildings are closed, teaching and learning must continue. For the week of April 20, 2020 remote learning plans are as follows:
Elementary (Per Mrs. Ross)
There will not be any new packets available for students this week. The elementary campus will focus on giving students the opportunity to catch up on the previous learning packets distributed. It is critical that students complete and return those assignments to ensure that teachers can evaluate student progress and performance. Option and enrichment learning opportunities will be available on the district website. Please check with your child’s teacher about any work your child may be missing. Completed work can be returned to the elementary campus daily from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. For questions or concerns, please call 254-546-1225.
Secondary (Per Mrs. Sharp)
New assignments will be available for secondary students on Monday, April 20, 2020. Assignments will be available in traditional paper formats and via online platforms. Packet distribution and return will be from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Monday, April 20, 2020 and from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. all other days. Mrs. Sharp will be in Marlin on Tuesday, April 21 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Please visit the news section of the Chilton ISD website (www.chiltonisd.org) or the district Facebook page for additional information.
Athletes, Coach James will be available to distribute resistance bands and jump ropes for athletes to support conditioning during closure. Please remember that if you want to be a champion, you must work like a champion. Your character is not defined by what you do when others are watching. Your character is who you are when no one is watching.
Also, seniors, Mrs. Lipsey will be available from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. to distribute graduation orders. Please stay tuned as we are working on a plan for graduation. Plans will be finalized after we receive additional guidelines from the governor.
Thank you for your flexibility during these unprecedented times. As always Pirate Nation, please remember, that #WeRefuseToSink.

Good Morning Pirate and Welcome to “Celebrate Us” Friday. Today we want to simply all the great memories and great times that we have had as Chilton Pirates. Today we choose to look beyond what we have lost and focus on the great memories and relationships that we have developed as Chilton Pirates. Contact at 5 members of your Chilton Pirate family via social media, text, or phone call to let them know how they have enriched your life. Today, we have some great things planned:
Please tune in to our website for our Friday Motivational Moment at 12:00 p.m. given by Mrs. Candice Ross, Elementary Principal. In addition, please review our website for additional activities posted for our students. Today we ask parents and students to review previous assignments and ensure that all assignments from previous weeks are completed. Please be on the look out for additional information from the elementary and secondary campus principals regarding assignment and packet pick-ups. While we have enjoyed our Spirit Week, it is time to ensure that our students maintain the academic skills that they need to ensure future success.
Today at 2:45 p.m. our Pirate Parade will travel through Marlin to try and see our Chilton ISD family in Marlin. If you need information regarding the routes to be taken through Marlin, please visit the Chilton ISD Facebook page for route information. We look forward to seeing each of you and finishing our Spirit Week strong.

Vivian Griffin
Vivian plans to attend the University of North Texas after high school, with plans to study Forensic Psychology. Her favorite classes in high school were science classes with Mr. Overman, and she cherished all of the memories throughout her time at Chilton. Vivian wants to tell underclassman to stay true to who they are and always strive to be the greatest version of themselves. Congrats, Vivian!
