Bond Fact Friday: The CISD Board of Trustees called a series of community meetings where a Facility Committee toured Chilton ISD buildings and established a list of priorities. After reviewing the financial standing of the District, the impact of the incoming solar farm(s), campus classroom capacity, and potential project costs, the Committee settled on a recommendation to add classrooms to the elementary and secondary campuses and, as District taxable values allow, build a new multipurpose building to include a competition gymnasium and District cafeteria. The Committee's recommendation included the calling of a bond election for May 7th, 2022, and the Chilton ISD Board of Trustees unanimously accepted.
There will be a Town Hall meeting on Tuesday, April 5, 2022 at 6:00 p.m. in the Chilton ISD Cafeteria.
The final date for voter registration is Thursday, April 7, 2022.
