Congratulations to Coach Lakesha Black. Coach Black has been appointed as the head basketball coach for the Chilton Lady Pirates program. Coach Black is a Class of 2009 Chilton ISD graduate. Coach Black had stellar basketball careers at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor and Huston Tillotson University. Coach Black has taught 8th grade science and AVID for the Chilton ISD for the past four years. She will also serve as the Co-District Director for AVID Program. With the 2020-2021 school year, Coach Black is beginning her 10th year in education. In addition to serving as the Head Basketball Coach, Coach Black will also assist with high school volleyball and tennis. The Chilton ISD is excited to have Coach Black lead within the girls’ athletic department.
